All students at the University of Zurich, except students studying in a mobility program for minor study programs or module mobility, receive a UZH Card at the beginning of their studies.
In the validation strip the study level, the faculty and the matriculation number are printed.
If you are enrolled in two study programs only one academic level will be printed according to the following priority:

| Teaching Diploma | 4 | Lehrdiplomstudium |
| Doctorate | 1 | Doktoratsstudium |
